Frequently asked questions.

How often should I wax?

For the best results clients should return every 4-6 weeks. Consistent visits will decrease discomfort, alter your hair texture, and eliminate ingrown hairs. In addition, consistent waxing will even out the client's skin tone.

What does aftercare consist of?

Waxing aftercare includes application of an exfoliant. Exfoliation helps minimize stubborn hair, eliminate ingrown hairs, and prevent a build up of dead skin cells that may interfere with the wax.

What is exfoliation?

Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells, boosting your cell turn over rate. Mechanical and Chemical are two forms of exfoliants.

Chemical exfoliants consist of enzymes that loosen up dead skin cells. Mechanical exfoliants consist of grainy particles that physically brush away dead skin cells.

Can I wax during my menstrual?

Of course! However, clients must wear a tampon if their menstrual is present. A tampon ensures proper sanitation. Keep in mind that waxing during your menstrual may heighten sensitivity.

How long should my hair be prior to waxing?

For the best result, ideal length is 1/4 of an inch. That is identical to a grain of rice. Hair that is less than 1/4 of an inch is more prone to breakage, due to the wax adhering improperly. Breakage may lead to development of ingrown hairs, imbalanced hair growth, and irritation.
